CHALLENGE
Focusing on the subject of medical CBRN defence, CHALLENGE represents a specialized supplement to MEDICAL CORPS INTERNATIONAL FORUM – MCIF. MCIF has for many years provided a forum for medical officers throughout the world, a platform through which they can exchange information and which helps link together the military medical services of the various nations.
In today’s changing global security environment - where a potential misuse of scientific innovation and cutting-edge technologies represents an increasing risk - medical CBRN defence plays a crucial role.
With Colonel (ret) Dr. Ernst-Jürgen Finke, the former head of the Institute of Microbiology of the Bundeswehr as our Editor-in-Chief, we have the services of an individual who has for many years been working on the problems of protecting military personnel and civilian populations against the effects of biological threats. He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise that will ensure that you can expect informative and fascinating contributions. We will also be using the magazine to inform you about the latest product developments in this sector.
From 2012 on, CHALLENGE with its specialized contributions and information, will be published four times every year. Our objective with this publication is to contribute to the international exchange of information and collaboration and to make know-how in the field of medical CBRN defence available to all.
